The terriers at Hero's Den enjoy life in sunny Florida. They hunt and
dig in their large fenced yard and cool off in the swimming pool after a
hard day of hunting anything they can find. When their day is done
they relax in front of
the television in their own little
comfort zone on a chair or couch. Over 45 years of working with dogs, I have had many breeds,
mostly working and hunting breeds. I loved them all for their particular
traits, but once the Jack crossed my path, that was that. The laughter
and love they bring to those special humans that own and work with a
Jack Russell terrier is beyond words.
Owning a Jack Russell terrier is a special experience. These
strong-hearted little dogs are equally dedicated to the hunt as they are
to their owners. Training them starts from the day you get your puppy at
eight weeks and continues from that point forward. JRTs are constantly
testing their limits, and yours, as that is their nature. They are bred
to hunt. You may not wish to hunt with your Jack, but your Jack is going
to want to hunt. Please take the time to read the history of the Jack
Russell Terrier and make an informed choice before you begin the
adventure named the Jack Russell Terrier.
